Allison was a Time Traveler. She was small, but brave. She wore a little wrist clock that went tick-tock.
Allison stood at the Hidden Oasis. Soft sand. Cool water. Tall palms. It felt like a secret hug.
A Jungle Guide stepped from the leaves. His hat was big. His smile was bigger.
“Hello, Allison,” he said. “Lost colors are hiding.”
Allison blinked. The oasis looked pale. The water was not blue. The flowers were not pink.
“I will help,” Allison said.
They walked. Step, step.
A King sat on a stone seat near the water. He was kind. He looked worried.
“My oasis lost its colors,” the King said. “Please bring them back.”
A Sorceress floated down like a quiet feather. She had shiny earrings and gentle eyes.
“I can see magic tracks,” she whispered.
Then—whoosh!
A Wizard popped out from behind a palm. His robe was dusty. His laugh was sneaky.
“I took the colors!” the Wizard said. “I hid them in time.”
Allison held her wrist clock.
Tick-tock.
Her tummy felt wiggly, but she stood tall.
“I am a Time Traveler,” she said. “I can find them.”
The Jungle Guide pointed.
“Follow the color crumbs,” he said.
They saw tiny sparkles on the sand. Red. Yellow. Green. Like little candies, but not for eating.
Allison turned her wrist clock just a little.
Tick… tock…
The air went hush.
Suddenly, they saw the oasis in yesterday-time. A bright red bird hopped by.
“Chirp!”
Allison giggled.
“Red!” she said.
She gently scooped the red sparkle into a small shell.
Allison turned the clock again.
Tick… tock…
Now it was morning-time. A yellow sunbeam sat on a leaf.
“Hello, Sunbeam,” Allison said.
She caught the yellow sparkle in another shell.
One more turn.
Tick… tock…
It was future-time for a tiny moment. A green vine waved like it was saying hi.
Allison grabbed the green sparkle.
The Wizard stomped.
“No! Give them back!”
He tried to blow a windy spell.
Whooo!
The Sorceress lifted her hand.
“Soft shield,” she said.
The wind became a silly puff. It tickled the Jungle Guide’s nose.
“Achoo!”
Everyone laughed, even the King a little.
Allison looked at the Wizard.
“You can have kindness,” she said. “But not the colors.”
The Wizard’s sneaky face got small.
He shrugged. “Okay,” he mumbled.
They poured the sparkles into the oasis water.
Splash!
Blue came back. Pink came back. Gold came back. The palms looked green again.
The King clapped.
“My Hidden Oasis is bright!”
He gave Allison a treasure: a tiny rainbow hourglass that glowed.
“For your brave time-travel work,” he said.
Allison held it close.
Tick-tock.
She smiled.
The oasis shimmered, safe and colorful again.
