Taylor Kenneth Franklin is a little boy. He visits a bright circus tent. He wears a red cap. He carries a small drum. He walks with two friends. Sage is a soft teddy bear. Toy is a dancing doll. They smile. They laugh.
Taylor says, “Let us make a show.” Sage claps its paws. Toy taps its shoes. They practice simple moves. They jump. They twirl. They spin.
Suddenly, a mummy floats by. The mummy wears a wrapped dress. It groans softly. It looks lost. Taylor steps back. Sage shivers. Toy tilts its head.
Taylor says, “Hello, Mummy. Will you join?” The mummy nods. It tries to dance. It moves its arm. It shuffles. It looks shy.
Taylor says, “We can help.” Sage moves close. Toy holds the mummy’s hand. Taylor plays the drum. They make a happy beat. Drum… drum… drum…
The mummy listens. It sways its body. It smiles behind its wraps. It dances slowly. Then it dances faster. It claps its bandaged hands.
The crowd of stuffed animals cheers. A small crowd of children claps too. The sun shines on the tent. The colors glow.
Taylor and friends bow. They feel proud. They feel kind. They feel brave. The mummy joins the bow.
Taylor smiles big. Sage hugs the mummy. Toy spins in joy. The crowd gives balloons. Each friend gets a balloon. Taylor holds a blue balloon. Sage holds a green balloon. Toy holds a yellow balloon. The mummy holds a red balloon.
Taylor says, “We made a great show.” The friends cheer. They feel happy. They feel calm. They feel warm inside.
They sit on soft grass. They eat sweet popcorn. They sip small juice. They share the snack. The mummy tastes popcorn. It says, “Yum!” Taylor giggles. Sage giggles. Toy giggles. Mummy laughs a soft laugh.
They look at bright flags. They see red, yellow, blue stripes. They feel the breeze. It makes them happy.
Taylor says, “Let us play again.” Sage nods. Toy dances. Mummy twirls.
They play hide and seek. Taylor counts to three. Sage hides behind a wheel. Toy hides near a drum. Mummy hides in a small box. Taylor finds Sage. Taylor finds Toy. Taylor finds the mummy. They all pop up with a “Boo!” They startle. They laugh together.
The sun sets. The sky turns pink. The tent glows by lantern light. The friends hold hands. They sway to a lullaby beat.
Taylor sings a soft song. Sage hums. Toy sings a high note. The mummy hums a low tone. The music drifts in the air. It sounds sweet.
Then Taylor yawns. Sage yawns. Toy yawns. Mummy yawns too.
They say, “Time for bed.” They cuddle close. They say, “Good night, friend.” They close their eyes. They dream of happy shows. They dream of clapping crowds. They dream of balloons and popcorn.
They sleep under warm stars. The circus is calm. The night is kind. The day ends in a gentle glow.
Taylor, Sage, Toy, and the mummy rest well. They rest well.
