Roselie is a tiny ballerina in a bright castle hall.
She spins with a smile and light as a leaf.
She wears soft pink slippers and a gentle tutu.
Today she feels happy and ready for a dance.
But one pink shoe slips off near a wide moat.
She stops and looks with big sleepy eyes.
I need my shoe, she says in a small voice.
She tiptoes to the stone wall by the moat.
The water glistens under the warm sun.
She sees a shiny shoe at the water edge.
The shoe floats on a leaf like a small boat.
She reaches out but her arm is too short.
Oh no, she says and she frowns a bit.
Then a soft voice calls from the drawbridge.
Here I am, says the Crystal Guardian kindly.
The guardian is a bright fairy of ice.
She has wings that shimmer like clear glass.
She reaches her wand and makes ice steps.
Step by step the shoe floats to Roselie.
Roselie claps her hands and says thank you.
She slips her shoe back on with a grin.
Now she can dance and twirl once again.
Suddenly dark clouds gather above the tower.
A loud wind blows leaves across the yard.
A Storm Chaser arrives in a wild hat.
She chases the clouds with a brave smile.
She holds a big net made of soft string.
She scoops up the windy leaves and laughs.
The castle feels safe from any strong gust.
Roselie waves and feels a warm glow inside.
Then a gentle Spellcaster steps from the gate.
He holds a tiny lantern full of soft light.
He whispers a word and birds sing nearby.
Their song is bright like bells in the air.
Roselie joins hands with her two new friends.
They form a circle on the smooth stone floor.
They dance a calm waltz in the golden sun.
Their steps are gentle and full of joy.
But out at sea a Pirate ship appears fast.
The Pirate yells and waves a big hook.
He wants to steal the castle treasure chest.
Roselie feels brave and stands very tall.
She taps her shoe heel and it glows pink.
A magic swirl lifts her into the air.
The Guardian and the Chaser join her side.
The Spellcaster casts a bright net of light.
The Pirate boat stops with a startled cry.
He drops his hook and smiles in surprise.
The necklace of stars falls from his coat.
Roselie catches a star and sets it free.
The star flies back to the sky with a wink.
The Pirate bows and sails away in peace.
The castle bells ring and echo far around.
Roselie feels proud and happy in her heart.
She learned to be brave and kind with friends.
The day ends with a soft pink sunset glow.
The friends share a small feast of sweet cake.
They laugh and clap and dream of new plays.
Roselie sleeps with her slippers by her bed.
She smiles as she dreams of another dance.
