Junior and the Park Clock Ghost

Kids stories

Junior, a shy but brave Time Traveler, visits an Amusement Park with Potion Maker, Star Collector, and Wizard. When a lonely Ghost traps time, Junior solves a simple time puzzle by ringing three ride bells in order—bringing back the lights, music, and a shiny star coin reward.
Junior and the Park Clock Ghost

Junior was a small Time Traveler. He was brave, but a little shy. He wore a tiny watch that went tick-tock. It helped him hop in time.

One sunny day, Junior went to the Amusement Park. Lights blinked. Music went la-la-la. A big wheel turned slow and bright.

“Hello!” said Potion Maker. She had a belt of little bottles. She was kind and busy. “I make safe, silly potions.”

“Hi,” whispered Junior.

Star Collector ran up. He was fast and giggly. He carried a soft bag that jingled. “I collect star bits! Tiny, shiny!”

Wizard walked behind them. He was tall, calm, and gentle. His hat was floppy. “Let’s have a nice day,” he said.

They all watched the park clock. It sat above the gate.

Then—whoooosh.

A Ghost floated out from the clock. It was pale and puffed like mist. It made a “Boo-hoo!” sound.

The park lights went dim. The music stopped. The rides went still.

Star Collector blinked. “My star bits feel sleepy.”

Potion Maker frowned. “My bubbles won’t pop.”

Wizard tapped his staff. “Time is stuck.”

Junior gulped. He held his watch. “I can help,” he said, a little louder.

The Ghost circled Junior. “I keep the tick-tock! Mine!” it moaned.

Junior did not run. He took a slow breath. “Ghost, are you sad?”

The Ghost wobbled. “I am… lonely. No one looks at the clock. No one says hello.”

Junior nodded. “We can say hello. But we need the park back.”

Quest time: solve a time puzzle.

Wizard pointed to three rides: the Carousel, the Bumper Cars, and the Ferris Wheel.

“Each ride has a bell,” Wizard said. “Ring them in the right order. Then time will move.”

Potion Maker opened a bottle. “Here, a Listening Potion.” She dabbed one drop on Junior’s ear. “Now you can hear tiny sounds.”

Junior’s ear tingled. He heard: ting… ting… TONG.

Star Collector shook his bag. “I have three star bits. They glow like clues!” He tossed one star bit on the ground by the Carousel. It shone warm.

Junior stepped to the Carousel. He listened. He heard a horse go “clop… clop.” He rang the bell: DING!

The Ghost hissed, but did not stop them.

They hurried to the Bumper Cars. Junior listened. He heard “beep-beep!” He rang the bell: DING!

Only the Ferris Wheel was left. It was tall. Junior felt small.

“I’m scared,” Junior said.

Wizard crouched. “Small steps,” he said. “I’ll hold your hand.”

Star Collector giggled. “I’ll count! One, two, three!”

Potion Maker smiled. “You can do it.”

Junior climbed. He listened. The wind said “whooo.” His watch said “tick.” He rang the big bell: DONG!

Time snapped back like a stretchy band.

Lights blinked bright again. Music sang. Rides whirred.

The Ghost stopped floating wild. It looked softer.

Junior waved. “Hello, Ghost. Want to help us?”

The Ghost whispered, “Yes… please.”

Wizard nodded. “You can be the Clock Keeper. You ring the park clock each hour.”

The Ghost made a happy “Ooo!”

Star Collector opened his bag. “Treasure time!” He poured out a reward: a new star coin, shiny and smooth, with a little clock on it.

He gave it to Junior. “For your brave time fix!”

Junior held it tight. It was cool and bright.

Potion Maker gave Junior a tiny bottle too. “Courage Bubbles,” she said. “One puff when you feel shy.”

Junior laughed. “Tick-tock, I can do hard things.”

The Ghost rang the big clock: DONG! DONG!

And the Amusement Park danced on, safe and happy, with a new friend in the clock.
